Hi

I'm new on here and wonder if anyone can give me some advice. I have a little bungalow that I have been completely refurbishing over the last 2 years. It's now nearing completion and I'm mainly left with decorating, tiling etc. I am female, so my main drawback is my lack of physical strength to do some of the work - added to which I am knocking on a bit too!

Anyway, I had french doors fitted where a single door and window used to be, which has left the cavity wall exposed in my lounge. I am just about to fit bamboo flooring (click system type) but I'm not sure what to do about the cavity? I didn't have a threshold fitted when the doors were installed because I thought I would just fit the flooring straight over it, but now I think that won't work because there's no real way of supporting the flooring over the cavity, or attaching anything to the PVC door frame. I am now thinking I should fit a hardwood threshold and fit the flooring up to that. If so, where can I get one? Can you buy something that has a nice bit of a slope on it, so it'll tie in with the flooring?

Has anyone got any suggestions for this poor old girl?

Thanks

Best place to ask could be your local joinery/carpenter?
They can make a wooden bespoke one and even install it for you.
