Advice on next doors Dormer.

To be honest I don't mind what anyone does. But what has cheesed me off is I installed the Solar Panels to make use of the Feed in tariff and use the electricity produced.
The house was bought by a developer which again I don't mind but the same way as he's trying to increase the value of the house by completely stripping the building bare and rebuilding it with a Loft Conversion I want to maintain the value of my house by having 100% efficient solar panels.
What was a 2 bed terraced house is about to become 3 self contained flats because they have also said they are installing a kitchen at the back of the loft conversion.

Hang on a minute, if the neighbour is doing the loft conversion to create a self contained flat that isn't permitted development. However, I doubt the planners will give a fig about your solar panels so I don't hold out much hope of you getting any resolution to your problem.

Also if your panels are wired on the same string it will reduce the output on all the panels not just the ones in the shade.

Yep the impact on a 6 year old panel is going to be more like 50% - sorry.

The shadow my TV Ariel mast cast on my panels sucked over a kw peak as it crossed both lines of panels

Wessex that would only be an issue if they 'implemented' the change of use before undertaking the conversion.
