Hi,

Premise: I am not a professional.

This is a wall in my storage room. The paint and some plaster have come away, and the surface is in poor condition. Is there anything practical I can do to make this wall look better without a full re-plaster?

Thanks
Ruggiero

Lath and plaster? Lime plaster?
Solid or movement when you push a bit?

It's quite solid actually. I don't think it is lath and plaster.

It's a bit flaky where you see the holes. Especially close to the boards.

Use some Polyfilla products to fill the holes and smooth the wall, such as:

You can use 6mm plasterboard and stick it on wall with a polymer.
Fill joints with toupret powder filler and sand.
Paint.
Not much skill required.
Other option is just use toupret powder filler. 2 or 3 goes filing in allowing each go to set.
Sand and paint
