They are, it's called CHINA.

yes i guess it would be china, so why pay someone local say 700 for the same suite i can buy for 450 off ebay?

Anyway my question was reguarding the quality of the item, not wher it was advertised/ Surely a plumber has fitted one of these?

Well you could try...

or

or

or

I could keep going but the Mods would think I'm starting my own Advertising company :)

I think VictoriaPlumb will be fairly close to that eBay price. i ain't saying the lad on ebay is selling duff stuff. It might be canny. But its always a risk. But then so is any distance buying (over the internet). If you want it cheap as chips then go for it. If you want some kind of warrantee and somewhere to call back to if things go wrong then you might be just as good going to one of the sheds, Screwfix etc. You just gotta weigh-up what it is you want in terms of quality, come-backs, warrantee, etc.

thank you. i did come across the first link when i did a goggle search, are they a fairly respected company then? Thanks

A few of my customers have bought from them before Steve and I have fitted it for them. I haven't recommended them, its just that people talk. One gets it and recommends it to a friend etc etc. Hell, have a Look at B&Q. I've fitted their stuff for folks before. Its not the best but it ain't the worst. At least you'll be able to see/feel what you are buying before you commit. The only problem for lads in the trade is that people go out and buy a bathroom suite and wonder why its gonna cost more to fit it than it cost to buy it! but that's another story.... If you have a PlumbCentre near you, some of the bigger ones have bathroom suites on display so that might be worth a look. Its horses for courses mate but I'd recommend you certainly have a look about first. You may even find you don't like the size, layout etc of those types of bath and go for something else but you'll only know that if you can see one.
