My machine (about 8years old) will not turn in any cycle. It fills & empty's ok. the belt is good and the drum is free to turn by hand and the motor turns freely by hand. Any suggestions please?

Many thanks for your help. Is it a diy problem? Are they difficult to replace?

Not too difficult it depends on your aptitude

I personally remove the motor to replace them (otherwise I tip the machine backwards and access the brushes from underneath its just a bit fiddly
