I hope someone can help.
My fairly new machine has started to knock when spinning. I only put light loads in washer and use 1200 spin.
I had problems with this machine when I purchased this to replace old Bosch machine. I have wooden floors and the machine shook all the time and AEG engineer came out to look at it and said that it was the foor!!! But why did I have no bother from any machine I have had in this house in 24years?
So I got round this problem by putting another wooden board to give stability and only put in light loads which solved this problem.
But now I find this knocking!!!!
Just thought I would ask about ideas before I get engineer out.

check the instruction book for how to adjust the feet so they are all pressing equally down on the floor, and the machine is level.

It might be a silly question, but i have come across this before, have the transit bolts and ferrules been removed

Older mcs are very robust and heavy. New ones are cheap and lighter. Try putting a thin bit of carpet under the board to give it a firm base.

Wooden floors flex & you will experience vibration/resonance. Only two ways to reduce it; Put a couple sandbags on top of the machine to increase mass (not a very practical solution) or stiffen off the floor by placing a piece of 22mm chipboard or similar under the washer (maybe combined with anti vibration pads). You won't be able to claim any kind of warranty on this.

Thank you for your replies. The machine is level and sits on a board under worktop. We pulled machine out to sit on a joist which helped.
I have done another couple of washes and knocking has stopped?
Will keep a careful watch on it and get out engineer to check it out if it persists!!!!!

Thanks again, Millielucy
