Affordable Usable Classic

To big for my Princess.

I like this...

Get the seats re-upholstered. Nice ne Led lights.
It’s got a MANUAL gearbox. Is this thread a wind up?

*X19’s are absolute rot boxes. I’m surprised there are any left on the road.

Any 'modern small classic’ (10-15 year old or older) with an auto box will be aggro. My best advice to you would be to forget it or make sure your daughter learns to drive a manual car.,

(Yes I know, just like the classic Italian and Japanese motors )

Then you give some valuable advise.

Shes going with a driving instructor in a manual. As everyone should. But Ill buy a Automatic family car for her to go school and run Mrs Bod round. This will take a chunk off me.9

Left school 6³⁰ pm
Dulcie Epping football training 7-8
Emergency callout until 9³⁰
The pick Bonnie up 11pm from a party

For Bonnie to be able to drive herself to school and the Gym then socialise without me, will help my hectic life.

She can also help with running her sister round and take her mum to do the shopping thst then wouldn't involve me.

Its just another one of those things that need thinking about and making the right choices.

What better place to ask for some advice to make those choices.

Sounds to me like a Toyota Aygo/Fiat 500 type car would be ideal, reliable, cheap insurance, low tax, good on fuel, parts readily available etc, not a classic but something that will do all the things you need it to.

Rarest cars I have seen at the good wood breakfast club meet ups

Was a fully restored immaculate Morris Marina

Austin allegro ( fully restored)

And a mk1 Escort van owner reckoned there were only 9 (?) reg on the road ????

Im liking the mini coopers but they are not cheap to run.

I like the Fiats, The Toyota would be more reliable

Ever had to work on the engine on a X1/9?

The "dizzy babe" seckaterry had an X1/9 where I was a contractor once. I had a Saab 900 turbo. She tried to outrun me then did an emergency stop. She didn't outrun me, but I didn't stop in time. The Saab survived fine. The Fiat just about made it to the car park all crunched but got written off.
It took a while to stop hearing that I'd had Tracey up the arris in the car.

My brother had a girlfriend from Northampton called Tracy with a green X19.
