I have a baxi 105e and its worked great for 4 years , but just recently after the burner cuts out its started to click once then something inside vibrates for a split second , could this be something about to go ? or does it happen after time ? ( my plumber says dont worry until it stops working !)

No (excessive) vibration is normal. Has the boiler been serviced in the 4 years since installed? A good service engineer should spot where any excess vibration is coming from and either fix it there and then if its straight forward - or advise how much to eliminate the noise if it needs parts. 
Sounds as if it might be partially blocked or scaled.
The immediate suspect is the gauze filter fitted inside the return valve.
Should be on the right hand side but I have often seen them fitted wrongly on the flow instead.
