Hi,
I’m currently replacing the floorboards in one of my bedrooms (Bungalow) and decided to check and clear out the air brick, which had been partially blocked with some kind of wire brush and various other bits of rubbish. It's an air brick in the external block wall.(pictures are hopefully attached)
As shown in the pictures the DPC is sagging down in front of the air brick which made me think, should there be a duct or channel coming in from the air brick to direct the air into the void under the floor?
Does it matter that air is potentially getting into the cavity?
Should I try to stick the DPC up somehow?
Also should the air brick be lower?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you.
