Wasn't sure where to post this..

Looking to install a multi split system for 3 bedrooms, but i’m surprised how big the indoor wall units are.

Been trawling the web trying to find a slim, compact wall unit. Any advice? Don’t mind the length, its more the depth of how much it stands proud of the wall

Thanks

They've got to be big enough to all the bits in. The fan needs to sit behind the evaporator coil to blow air through it to cool the room. The only way you'd get a slimmer one is to have a smaller fan, which would then need to spin faster and create more noise to avenge the same effect. They're the size they have to be.

You should note that you need to be F-Gas Registered to fit these. It's not a DIY job, not even the pre-gassed ones

Thanks Muggles, yes I’m aware & have found an F has registered installer. But the units he showed me were huge - so I wondered if there was a slimmer alternative

Thanks - they are smaller than the mitisbishi ones he showed me.

other problem that’s making them more bulky is having the pipe work & pump boxed in trucking (as the units aren’t on external walls)
