Hi! My Vaillant VCW GB 242 EH had a problem with the CH not working after drawing DHW. After reading your forum I diagnosed a faulty water section, replaced it, set up everything as per the manual, and all now seems well. Thank you for the excellent advice.
However, now I have refilled the system and bled all the rads, the automatic air vent is permanently overflowing a tiny ammount of water!
Am I right in thinking that the vent is now faulty (possibly did not like being used after no use for a long time), or is there a more sinister reason? Thanks again for your previous help; keep up the good work!
Jon.

Remove the auto air vent, unscrew the top. remove the float, clean and replace.

Bob,s your uncle!!
