I have a BMW series 3 1999. The air bag warning light is on and I have been told by the garage it's going to cost £25 just to diagnose the fault. Is there any way I can reset the light myself ?

Not a main dealer for £25?

Check under the front seats (from the back) make sure the wires going to the seat belts are OK, see does it go out? Then try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes, have the radio code if required before you disconnect.

You still might have to get the codes cleared, depends.
