Hi all,
any advice on this much appreciated :)

Have just a combi boiler fitted and so had hot water cylinder removed from bathroom airing cupboard.
this leaves me with a bigger cupboard for storage (wahey) but a dark one..

Getting into the ceiling to run a new light is gonna be a real pain, so am thinking of simply replacing the old cylinder power point with a switched FCU, and fit that with a 3 amp fuse running 1.5mm twin and earth cable up to a single light fitting.
I would also run the old cable under floor, and position the switched fcu just inside the cupboard door as is more accessible (running old cylinder power point cable under floor and up)

Couple of questions >
Does this all sound ok, and am I right in thinking this is non notifiable as is not in a 'special location' ?
Would it be ok to use a standard switched fcu in this location or would it be best with a pull cord (if people go in there with wet hands looking for a towel etc..) ?

thanks in advance guys

definite pullcord..
leave teh FCU where it is and wire to a new pullcord and then onto the light..

right - thought I probably should go with pull cord to be safe.. thanks ColJack :)

will probably just go for a wall light with a pull cord like this :

wired into the old fcu then.
easier than trying to fit a pull cord switch to ceiling and onto light, as the ceiling in there has been dropped to create loft space and currently just made of removable floor boards (!)
not best place to fix a ceiling mounted switch

thanks for your help :)
