ok here goes-my system is close coupled, and is as below:

in my mates system, it is also close-coupled but with a metal air separator! but the 3 port valve seems to be on the primary return from the cylinder (the lower connection) - is this normal. I will take a pic of it when I next see him tomorrow but it was just bugging me!!
