would any body be able to shed some light on my boiler problem?
it is a prima 60 c with 10 rads running off it. the boiler makes a kettling and banging sound constenly when it is on. is it pipe work fault or is boiler knackered. please check out my pics of the system, if ya can find any faults. the system does have three ]auto air vents on it.

Looks very messy to me and seems to have some piping problems in relation to air etc.

More importantly have you had this professionally serviced/checked lately?

Your flue is at least not to current standards and could be worse depending on the outside bits. How about a photo of the outside flue etc?

You should have at least 600mm off the boiler before any bends

not to mention the fact that the flue goes horizontal after that

hi all. the flue goes into the chimney stack. so cant take photo
. all the pipe work to the rads is in 15mm . does it look like the whole system needs repiping? is there any good web sites i can look at for this info be fore i get a plumber out.

Unusual for all pipe work in 15mm. Still concerned about flue on boiler. I'm wondering if flue is lined correctly as boiler flue enters horizontally. From the state of pipe work etc and flue on boiler I would suspect DIY installation. WITHOUT DOUBT GET A CORGI IN TO CHECK IT OVER!

would the flue cause all the banging and kettling sounds.
also how should the pipe work look in the airing cupboard.

Pipe work is a pain for you. Flue nothing to do with noises but left unchecked could kill you

best get flue checked. can i find corgi plumber on corgi web site.
do you know of any where i can get some info on how the system should be piped up. plan to get plumber in to do it but would like to get a bit more knowledge on this. cheers

yes, go to consumer page and enter your postcode. Hopefully you will get a selection of good CORGI's.

Not specifically. Try local libary of perhaps local Borders etc. Make sure it is an up to date print!

CORGI you get in will probably be able to advise you on pipe work. If big job needed in end get 3 quotes ;)
