Hi,

A very poor flow of water is coming out of my mum's bath hot water tap. The basin hot water tap is working OK. I understand that I could attach a hose from the cold mains tap to the bath hot water tap to push a possible airbubble out of the vent pipe, but in my plumbing textbook (Plumbing mechanica services by G.J. Blower) it says that there is a risk of causing leaks in the hot water pipe if this is done.

Has anyone used the hose trick and then found a leak in the hot water pipe?

Pete

no never had that problem.
is there any reason you should suddenly have an air lock in the pipe?

or could it be a faulty tap
