Alarm siren not sounding

Hi I had an old alarm system optima xl6, the outside siren has stopped sounding but sounds from the inside box panel. What am I looking at to sort it thanks. Everything else works as it should

So it doesn’t work at all when tested ?

How is it being tested?

Possibly bellbox possibly trigger wire.

Possibly power from panel to bell.

What bellbox do you have?
When was battery last replaced in panel.

Do you have a multi meter?

I haven’t checked anything as yet, I do think it needs a battery but has worked off the mains always . Do you know what I should check /what to eliminate
