Alining Basin Waste

Hi All
Just in the process of installing a new basin and its higher than the previous one meaning that the existing waste is too short at the wall end and too high at the basin end.

Whats the best was to resolve this , i notice that you can get flex ones but they all seem to be 320mm in length which is a bit long really. This install has been really tricky. whats the easiest way to get these to line up? Hold it there and then put the pedestal under?

I did notice that you can get a shorter flexible fitting which starts at around 150mm but this one has compression at both ends, i need one that will fit directly into an elbow (push) at one end and then screw into the waste at the other

How about the BT1? That's telescopic and has a longer outlet, I think.

OK I understand this one a bit more now but not too sure how to solve this easily.
I have 2 pipes, vertical (from sink) and horizontal (from wall).
The vertical one is adjustable (just realised) so this one now is at the right level to align.
The horizontal one though need to be a bit longer. The problem is that the elbow that the horizontal piece goes into is a push fit 40mm I think and the other end (the waste trap bit) I think is a narrower bit (possibly 32mm). How can I get a bit that has a push fit on one end at 40mm and with a 32mm thread on the other - is there such a thing? It appears that in the install I have here there is a 40mm with a 32mm inside which allows the compression bit to fit on it which sounds a bit weird.

solved. 40mm reducer went straight into the elbow and used 32mm pipe into the waste trap, nice
