All aboard!

You can of course point out those 'safe and legal routes' then?
Ukraine scheme, Hong Kong scheme, student routes...

It is overall immigration that is being discussed.

However you won't because you can't...

From the UK government itself...

"There are no visa routes to enable people to claim asylum in the UK from overseas"
Is that because they are already in a safe country, having already travelled to and through yet another safe country?

New Zealand to blow up a ship

(They found legionella at two schools I was involved with )

I wasn't talking about asylum.

Ukraine scheme, Hong Kong scheme, student routes...
None of which are Asylum claims which is what is being discussed here...

They are temporary schemes or right of residence issues...

Those put on the barge and then now evacuated are termed 'Asylum Seekers'

Which bit of "There are no visa routes to enable people to claim asylum in the UK from overseas" which is available of the UK government website do you not get?

Well you obviously missed the bit about those on the barge being 'Asylum Seekers' which the OP started...
you obviously missed the bits in-between.

Do you think there were 1,200,000 asylum seekers last year? If not, why do you think I was referring to only asylum seekers in my comment?
Maybe you didn't bother reading it ...

Maybe you could explain why the figure of 1.2 million wafted into your head, whether it be asylum seekers or immigration?

The topic is about the former, so you have been babbling on about something totally different and in ignorance!

In the meantime it appears that the Asylum seekers were allowed to drink and wash in possibly contaminated water for some time after the bacteria was discovered...

Incompetence or indifference or worse?

Linky Linky

"Asylum seekers on board the Bibby Stockholm were not told to stop showering or drinking water during their stay despite Legionella bacteria being discovered in the water supply"
