all grids vanished

Hi
The other day for no reason all the grids stopped showing on my computer, surfing the net for example looking at TV listings no grids, Excel has no grids just blank page, all can be used as usual but no lines to see where one box starts and another finishes. Anyone got any ideas ??

Go into Excel. Try Tools,Options,View tab,Windows Options,Tick Gridlines check box
