Hi

We have bought a house but not moved in yet, checked the heating which is a boiler and cylinder.

Bled the radiators just in case and now the one on the upstairs bathroom is not getting hot.

I have tried bleeding it but no joy, i let some water out through the bleed valve and it sort of started to get warm on one side.

The pipe under the thermostatic valve is hot and the coupling that goes from that into the radiator is hot but it just is not heating up the rad any ideas?

Thanks

thermostatic valve is probably stuck, take the head off and pull the pin out gently with pliers

I looked and it looks as though the pin is up.

Any other ideas.

Leak insurance?

Leak insurance?
Pulling the pin from a stuck trv has caused more than one leak. ;)
Compare the height of the pin with a working trv to see if they are the same.

Could still be blocked inside.
Have you checked the lock shield?
Have you tried running dhw only?

What is dhw and what is the lockshield so i can check when i go there tomorrow?

Thanks

Domestic Hot Water.
Lockshield valve is the one on the other side of the rad. For some strange reason they should both be open at the same time to provide flow.
