Independent schools wont be closing, quite a few of the kids that go parents are drs and consultants.

Oldest was due to sit GCSEs he's worried that he could have put more effort in to his mocks, as it looks like teachers will be self assessing. As long as it doesn't impact the A-levels he wants to do, but I can feel the frustration as its a massive move of the goal posts.

I feel for the exam kids.
I'd have been screwed; I did the bare minimum all year, but was fortunate enough to be able to do well enough in the exam itself, if i wanted to.
Based on the year's performance, I may as well have not been there at all......

Middle son was due to take A' levels in May or was it June? He's frustrated by it too.
It going to be a hard time for parents.

My MOT's due in a month.
There has already been a suggestion raised that MOT certificates could be extended for taxing/insurance purposes.
schools closing early thats handy we got a major job to do at a school so we could start early
I've told my builder that his workforce could work evenings and w/e if buggered by school closures.

Mine too, I've booked it for the 30th March which was the earliest they had even though that will still be more than two weeks early, apparently even Mot's are seemingly not excluded from panic buying (or booking).
