I have the above which must be 10 years old but is serviced annually. For the last 12 months or so, once in a while when we go to use hot water, we get none. The boiler makes all the right noises but does not fire up. The diaphragms have been replaced as has the PCB. The fan has been cleaned and sensors replaced but to no avail.
No warning lights come on.
It works fine with the central heating.
Any ideas please or do I need a new boiler?

You say that some parts have been replaced but dont explain why those parts were replaced. Merely changing parts is very hit and miss as well as expensive.

To repair boiler faults its necessary to first identify what wrong.

The next test would be to measure the resistance of each leg of the DHW demand switch. It should be below 1 ohm every time when repeatedly activated say 10 times.

However, thats unlikely to be the cause if the boiler does make some noises when a tap is opened but the next things would be gas related which I cannot advise about on an open forum.

Unfortunately, us mortals put ourselves in the hands of qualified engineers who in reality often seem to have no idea of the actual cause. The parts were replaced due to 1) wear and 2)the engineers belief that they would fix the fault.
Please contact me on [email protected] if you think you know the solution and I will find someone qualified to effect a repair

I cannot tell you what is wrong as I have not visited and tested your boiler. I dont make guesses as thats not productive.

Whoever changed parts which did not effect a fix should not have charged for their time and should have removed the new parts and refitted the old ones.
