Alpha CB24 no hot water or heating

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone help please, i have an Alpha CB24 boiler and it stops working intermittently,

when it is on the yellow light is flashing but it will not fire up when i turn the hot water tap on also the heating is not working,

If i turn the boiler off and leave it for a while and the reset it it comes on sometimes

what could the fault be and could i fix myself

That would usually be a faulty temperature sensor.

You can measure its resistance which should probably be about 11 k. If its o/c then it will need replacing.

Only check it when the boiler is NOT working as they sometimes become intermittent abd most often go o/c when they are hot.
