Alpha CD18R boiler problem

Our boiler was serviced a month ago by British Gas and passed as ok.
It has now started making a "whooshing" noise as it runs. We have bleed the radiators, reset the boiler, and tried turning down the heating without any effect. From looking on line it seems to be a problem with the air inlet or filter?
Query is whether this is something that should have been picked up during the service? Would like some idea before I tackle BG

I doubt it would be picked up on their “service” as it’ll likely be a safety check carried out. Could also be coincidental.
