When boiler lights for heating, it comes on at low flame as it starts to ramp up the burner the boiler vibrates briefly, flame appears to lift off and goes out. hot water working absolutely fine. Any help much appreciated.

do the heating pipes /rads start to get hot ??
No this happens about 20 seconds into sequence as gas valve starts to ramp up the gas to the burner. Also forgot to mention if water is run for a while and boiler is hot, heating will work fine. It only appears to happen on a cold start.
