Can anyone help? My Alpha 240E boiler has become temperamental about igniting. It quite frequently does not ignite on turning on the hot water. I discovered that if I wasted loads of running water , it will eventually light after up to 15 mins. The top ORANGE light stays on when it doesn't light. The manual suggests faulty air pressure switch. I have checked the flue--its clean, but not blockage in pressure tubes or voltage across terminals 16,19 as manual suggests.
Is there a genius out there? Bill.

The fan/venturi needs cleaning, since it's all in the combustion chamber its Corgi only teritory.

New spire clips on the flue spigot connector are usually required as the old ones disintegrate when they are touched.
