Altech CH controller

Moved to new place with Altech CH controller.

Please any info on what position 5 does
I assume 1&2 are ON then OFF - & 3 & 4 also ON then OFF

2nd query - I managed to get rid of a flashing star (bottom LHS of display) by, I think, pressing the illumination button - but then got what looks like a flashing tap to the right of that position. What is it & how do I get rid ??

Is it similar to this?

If so you just set the temperatures you require at different times of the day, if you don't want the heating on just set a really low temperature for example 10C so the heating will not be activated.

as David said above,but looks like programmable roomstat

try 1 ch on say 6am 20deg C
2 ch off say 8am 14degC
3 ch off say 1pm 14degC
4 ch on say 5pm 20degC
5 ch off say 10pm 14degC

you get the idea!!!
