Alternative to new bathroom vanity drawers?

Hi there,

I’m staying at my mother in laws and the metal on top of her vanity drawers is peeling. I want to help either fix it or replace it:

1. Is there any type of rub or chemical miracle cure I can put on this metal part of the drawer to make it look new and shiny? In the likelihood the answer is no…

2. How can I buy just the drawers to replace them? I’ve been on the willoby & loch website and can’t find just the vanity drawers to replace. I’ve also been on some spare parts websites and can’t find a match.

Is it a lost cause unless she replaces the whole thing?

Thank you!

Medium tack masking tape to protect draw fronts. Might have to double up for thickness to protect when you clean off..

Look up kitchen wrap as can be stuck on handles after sanding smooth.
Other option is sand smooth and spray with warmer cans

Either sand and spray ( chrome, silver etc .)
Or self adhesive vinyl covering
Or glue on a Uvpc trim cut to size .
( wood effect or white).
Or replace with aluminium angle of suitable size .
Or replace , lots of pulls available , for example

Thanks, everyone! I think I will sand it down and go from there.

But, if I wanted to replace it, do you think this is stuck on with wood glue? How would I go about taking off the metal handle? I don’t see any screws.

Probably has a tongue fixed into a slot on top of draw front edge , may be friction held and/or glued.
You could put a block of timber under the edge and tap up with a hammer .
