I'm currently sprucing up my garden and would like to install some raised flower beds, ideally I would like to use sleepers but these are rather expensive as it covers quite a large area and I would need approx 45 sleepers! Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative that would still give the same effect as sleepers. These will be stained black in the end so doesn't really matter what it is as can be treated??!! Thanks.

100mm round poles are much much cheaper than sleepers. 1.8m can be found for a few pounds each. or even cheaper half round poles for closer to half the price.
