Aluminium Heritage French Doors, hard to install?

We are planning to convert a dining room window into French doors and I really like the Crittall style aluminium French doors. A builder friend will do the building work, but has never fitted aluminium doors before. Money is tight so my preferred option would be to fit them ourselves, but how easy are they to do? The differences in prices I'm getting between supply only and supply+fit is quite a bit, but if they are awkward to do then I'll have to find the cash to have them fitted. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much info out there about this, I have searched, and the vids I've seen are all for UPVC doors.

If the Crittall lookalikes are particularly awkward, are plain aluminium French doors any easier?

Any advice would be very gratefully received.
