aluminium oxide sandpaper

Hi....just a quickie, is it possible to drill holes in aluminium oxide sandpaper.I can get a 5 metre roll from Tool station for about £4 but to buy to fit a sander they cost over £6. It's to fit a Mac Allister sander.

I believe it is done with a sort of paper hole-punch

you could try a cheap stationery item. I presume it will blunt quite quickly but you could start on the paper side.

If your current sander is a sheet sander you usually get a plastic template with multiple cones on the inner surface. You then fit your blank sheet to your sander and press down on the template to form the holes.
Most sanders have an outlet for a dust extraction system and I would recommend using one. Doesn't collect everything but stops most of the dust blowing on to your clothes or into the air.
