I had to remove the driver side engine mount timing belt side to do a different job .. however I didn't support the engine nad the engine has dropped down 2 or 3 inches .. I do not know where best jacking point under engine would be ti raise it a little so that I can realign engine mount .

I really need to use the car for work tonight and need to drive around 90 miles .. my mechanic friend is back in 2 days and he'll sort this for me .. until then should I be okay to drive the car ?

Tia

Can I ask what could possibly happen if I drive without this 3ngine mount for 1 day
Engine will start shacking, electrical connections and pipes will be stretched, other mountings will be under stress for being in the wrong position.
Something will break.
At best you'd be stranded.
Might even have a catastrophic engine drop and write car off and have an accident.
Of course you won't be covered by your insurance because you have driven an unroadworthy vehicle.
Engine mount defects are mot failures, so car should not be driven.

You could market the idea as an alternative to a vibrating lymphatic drainage machine. Just strap your self into the car and get a relaxing therapeutic massage on your way to work.

If this isn't a joke then get a thick bit of wood and put that across the sump and use a jack on the piece of wood to raise the engine
