Angled drain off valve

Can I use this Angled drain off valve as a TRV? Or does it have to go on the lock shield side?

That‘s a lockshield valve, can‘t be used as a trv.

If you mean can that valve go on the flow or return pipework the answer is yes . TRV can go on either pipe if it bi directional,which most are .
