Cant get radiator off wall

Hi i have just tried to take a radiator off for a friend and the lock shield side unden easily but the trv side wouldnt budge i kept trying and it started to move the trv and drip water out

How do i drain this system it is a vented system but rad has no drain cock and it is about 25 yrs old

Any help would be appreciated

Cut a drain cock in..............




sorry to mention it but if this system has been working non stop for 25 years dont be too surprised if something goes a tad wrong after drain down. Just seems to happen sometimes.

How do i put a drain cock on will i have to drain the system first cos there is still water in the pipes

self cutting washing machine tap, then replace the small section of pipework afterwards with a coupling.

or bung it of course, or open the lockshield valve into a bucket.
