Another Hive wiring question

Hi

Last week I installed a hive thermostat based on a thread on here. Doddle as it required no opening of the boiler as I already had a 4 core cable running to a wireless receiver.

My mate has a wireless receiver but his is wired different with a loop. That's the bit I'm not sure on.

Is it possible to install the hive receiver without opening the boiler based on this current wiring to the existing receiver?

All depends on the boiler and how the actual boiler is wired, some use 230V Ac and some use 24V if you get it wrong it will be very expensive
