Another hob ignition problem!

We have a 5 ring gas hob.
After cleaning it and restoring the electrical supply, the ignition on the middle hob keeps sparking.
I thought that maybe some moisture when cleaning had affected it and so left it a day to dry out, but whenever the electrical supply is switched on, the same igniter keep sparking.

Any ideas how to stop it?

probably when you removed the control spindle some grease has stuck down the ignition switch, possibly hard to solve but try another good clean around the middle ring control knob!
