hi, ive had the washing machine for about 2-3years and about 18months ago i had an issue where if i turned the washing machine on every light in the front pannel would flash, sometimes it would stop flashing and allow me to use the machine.
So i decided just to leave the machine on, all was well but the machine got switched off somehow over the weekend and now it wont allow me to use it, the whole pannel flashes like a disco and no matter what i do it just will not stop flashing.
i have had it unplugged for an hour but as soon as i plug it back on and switch it on it flashes, i have also tried leaving it switched on but to no avail.
I made a phone call to hotpoint about this some months ago but they want £100 just to send someone out, but did recognise this as a fault they had seen before.
So please can someone help

Lee

any lights in general, error codes are on the forum .looks like you need a new pcb .

right ive sripped the machine and found the main control board/module has some burnt out resistors and lots of smoke marks.
I assume these arent repairable so where would i find one

very common, plug and play that company programmes it for you, back in 24 hrs as well.

cool, thank you very much for your help, i will be contacting them first thing in the morning

right my new pcb turned up today which i fitted this evening, but the machine still doesnt work correctly.

it begins a cycle but after a short time the power light flashes rapidly and the rinse hold (3rd down on the left) flashes slowly any ideas ??

that means error fo2 ,make sure the moter plug is connected properly if it is unplug from mains for 2 mins .if this dont cure it contact the company you have a faulty board .

ive got the machine running in rinse and spin mode and its funtioning correctly, could this still be an incorrectly fitted connector or isit morelikely to be a faulty pcb??

bit of both it may have come loose .try it again if it happens again i would say pcb . its all controlled by relays on the board .
