the boiler is firing up but not staying on for the duration it should i.e room stat calling for heat but boiler not firing but then it will lots of relay clicking starting stopping shower left to run boiler fires up hot water then cold boiler dies then fires again no continuity

ok so had 2 gas safe lads round they couldn"t fix my boiler.........little bit of tinkering around with pump and that............just unscrewed temp sensor leaving crimp connected boiler working perfect screw sensor back in boiler stop n starts have i found the fault?????????

Gas safe is to do with safety while working with gas. Reading the posts it seems the problem area is system controls which 'Gas Safe Engineer' is out of deepth with. You need to engage services of someone who works with boiler day in day out.

Another pointer is £25.00 per hour- I would be looking at twice that else I will stay in my nice warm bed.

You need someone who is familiar with your boiler, will offer no fix no fee (well a little bit to cover for petrol etc) and is not afraid to show you what he aims to do to locate the defect.

I would say £50/h is pretty normal for most places. Take your car to the dealership and see what they charge per hour

Mercedes charge about £100 and Honda charge about £85 at least. Go figure with that one. Even a back street garage will charge you roughly £40/h.

yeah because i have a merc!!!!!!!!! real world live in it!!!! £25ph cash if you work a 8hr day £200 do the math it isn"t a client fault if he hasn"t enought faults to fix in a day but i think in this day and age £50 a hr is pathetic don"t think john terry on that!!!!!!!

I would charge £60 for the 1st hour. If you don't like it, don't employ my services.
