another issue with my new house

Our whole house is fitted with heritage brass electrical fittings (chrome finish). Can't help but notice 90% of the light switch frontplates have NOT been earthed! Although in some cases the metal backbox has been earthed, in cases with drylining boxes the earth wires have just been crimped together. Some of the lights are wired using the jungtion box method, (wires crimped in the back of the box) and some the regular way...


I guess this is breaking regs?

YES- it's a definite breach of the regs!
Get back to your house builder - and inform the NHBC as well.

no, mb knows all about everything....house builders do....

hmmmm....and there was me thinbking builders built houses.....and electricians wired them, plumbers plumbed, and chippies sat arround making it look like they were doing something.......iam glad mb has enlighterned me on that one, i could have ended looking like a right Tw@
