I have an Auqalisa Quartz Electric 8.5kW shower and the pressure seems very low.
The water temp. is constant and all other water pressure to taps etc is ok.

I have thought about fitting another head to see if this is the cause but the technical dept at Aqualisa said that this would activate the PRD and not to replace the head at all.

Could it just be that this is a poor shower?

Any thoughts/comments would be greatly appreciated!

The shower was fit around 2 years ago for a relative, but as I had never used the shower it wasn't an issue I knew about.

It has only come to light since taking over the house in the past couple of weeks.

After speaking with my relative I have found out that is has been like this from being fit.

maybe just the shower in general or your mains pressure is quite low not a fault.
is any isolation valves, stopcocks fully open ?

The stop cock is fine. I've not actually thought about the isolation valves although I think they are located under a fixed unit which i'll have to take apart over the weekend.

Heres hoping they are only half open.

If this is the case, could this actually cause the PRD to activate due to higher pressure, or is that only for blockage?

the prd useally only activates when you restrict the flow out of the heating can ie showerhead blocked or twisted hose.
