A different one was used for when I went for a new strain apparently, and it was withdrawn because of the side effects as it hadn't been fully tested and was rushed in..

Now this I don't believe. Unless you're part of a clinical trial using a "not fully tested" vaccine would only happen as part of some epic medical emergency. It happened for Ebola because there simply weren't enough cases available at the time to do the trials, but that's all I can remember hearing of.
