Another thread arguing about the value of vaccines (Ed.)

Lol.....bad decision! ....lol
Statically you're more likely to suffer more if you avoid getting vaccinated for COVID. It's a dramatic and very clear difference. It's objectively a bad call.

And if you can't understand that then that's another reason to judge you.

I didnt take the covid vaccine. I have every other vaccine needed when younger. I am not an anti vaxxer either. Its just down to choice at the end of the day. I dont judge those that choose to vax or not...no point in it...
well said. (y)

Hark at the New Puritan... Do as I say or you will be judged!

I disagree actually

Koolpc made his decision for him, we dont know his circumstances

I dont think we can say it was a bad decision

some people felt the risk of side effects from the vaccine were higher than the risk of side effects from the virus.............I dont think that is a necessarily wrong position to take, lots of people made that decision whilst agreeing the evidence at the time indicated otherwise but its never certain, sometimes we have a gut feeling and we stick with it, that can be right too.

My issue is with those people who chose not to have the vaccine then twist the evidence to support their argument............KoolPC is not doing that, he isnt judging others

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD FINALLY !
So then they were not ---
Reform voters
Trump supporters
Conspiracy nut jobs
Tin foil hat wearers
Mail readers
Climate deniers
Flat earth believers
And finally -- they were not Anti-vaxxers
All tropes from you.

They are if they keep on and on and on about it.

Decisions were made by people and we should all move on, but no, we are on page 23 of the covid vaccine, yet again.

That's exactly the point.

I personally don't care who has or has not had it.

Just stop going on trying to tell me I'm dead

The people who say "I had all the vaccines when I was young" as if it proves they're not antivaxers are confusing. At best it shows their parents weren't anti vaccination when they were a child.

People who decline Flu or COVID vaccinations risk themselves and that's fine. Nearly always stupid, but fine.

But what about other 'optional' vaccines like the HPV vaccine for their children? That jab is absurdly good at preventing a common type of cervical cancer, but if you're 'sceptical' of vaccines then you might choose to not have your daughter vaccinated or to delay it. Both of which are objectively more dangerous health choices.

When someone says 'im not antivax but...' i find it means more that they don't like to be associated with antivaxers than anything about if they're more or less likely to get a flu shot.

Yes, there were those as well. You forgot to add 'ill informed' to that list.

If someone is genuinely afraid to take something that is less harmful than Calpol, then they just need educating.

If you don't want to weaponise not having the Covid vaccine against those who chose not to have it, there is nothing confusing about it.

Most of the people who get the trope anti-vaxer just didn’t want the covid one - that’s it

Turns out the "ill informed" were actually the ones that were informed - despite some truth being shut down

I have not heard that one apart form you twice now -- can you show us the data for that claim.

People who didn’t have the vaccine and spread misinformation to justify it are anti vaxxer conspiracy theorists…….these people are also likely to be Reform voters, Brexit supporters, Trump admirers, climate change deniers

People who just decided they didn’t want the vaccine and do not try to justify it with falsehoods, are not anti vaxxers.
