In reality Israel is a prison camp for those expelled from Europe and the promised land myth was the genius of anti-semite christian zionists which convinced the jews to welcome their internment and even fight for it to continue. Other places than palestine were considered around the European colonies but it was sure they'd return to Europe if they didnt have a reason to stay and so the solution to the "jewish question" would only have been short lived. Considering the 1000 years of persecution of jews in Europe 75 years is not long and the Europeans are not about to let the genius solution be overturned, they still say vehemently "Israel MUST exist". And who supports its existence the most? In Germany it is AfD of course. Of course the neo-Nazis support the continued expulsion of Jews from Europe.
