Does anyone know of any company that makes 400litre indirect HW mains pressure cylinders. I see most companies only tend to make them up to 300litre.

McDonald Engineering in Glenrothes, Fife, they will make anything you want, always very helpful when required to do anything for us in the past.

Cheers for that, will investigate. Do you know of any other manufacturers?

:)

have you considered two 200 litre cylinders in tamden?

Most larger capicity cylinders become tank in tank(ACV to name one) but have massive reheat value.Just done a 600 litre with 88KW reheat.

Cheers guy, some useful info there.

Just out of interest lcgs, what was the 600 litre cylinder serving? I assume it was a non-domestic job?

I've not enough space for 2 no. 200litre cyls, but need at least the additional 100 litres or so more than a standard 300litre. I'll have a look at the ACV's they look pretty good, you can also store at 85degC too eh?

Would you recommend 2 no. 300litre ACV's or 1no. 600 litre?

Has the 600litre got an immersion?

Cheers

Ferroli, Quatum heating up to 600l http://www.hotwatercylinders.co.uk/
Quantum make cylinders for Ferroli and others

My local merchant is offering Ferolli unventeds at a much lower price than the Santon my previous preference.

What are they like and do they have any disadvantage?

Are the Ferolli exactly the same as Quantum cylinders or a lower spec model?

Ok, ours was and is a holiday park serving 14 shower rooms and bathrooms,2 50KW boilers(88KW reheat on cylinder) and underfloor heating.

As for 2 3's or 1 6 it depends on how much room you have and your need for hot water should one unit fail, with 2 at least you have a back up.

Ours has no immersion. Original plan was for 2 3s one feeding the other, with one having a secondary coil for solar used as preheat. Panel cost came in too much for the clients likes (fair point he was and is supplying the materials and we're labour only).

On this install the particular cylinder isnt an ACV one this one has been specified and manufactured to the needs by the boiler manufacturer but weve installed the ACV's prior to this.

Simond i believe specs them a lot.
