Any chance of removing snapped refill key from boiler?

If the key had been in there fort a long time then there's a good chance it'll be stuck, they're known for doing that if left in too long, the o-rings get stuck to the plastic sides, unless it's actually still in the locked position of course.

Ah ok, if the key hadn't been used for a long time and o-rings were dry then when it was inserted, they can grip and jam tight. It's a design flaw of the whole WB filling loop design, the plastic key is a well known weak point.

Have you tried the square valve and does it still fill when you open it?
 
Thanks. Oop in Yorkshire with outlaws at moment. Will try when I return. Am guessing water will spew out, as I turned key back to the default (locked position) before it snapped.
