I've got a Honeywell programmer on my system. At the moment I'm getting hot water as timer set to continuous. Boiler kicks in when hot water is run. Heating is set on timers too but it doesn't seem to be triggering the boiler. Do you reckon the programmer is up the creek? or is there something else within the system which could not be working?

Yes, I know I'm a noob but the kids are getting cold and I need to get this sorted out asap. Any advise please?

More than likely faulty motorised valve , usually a silver box fitted just after the pump . sometimes just one valve that splits to heating an HW .Sometimes 2 valves one for each

Yeah, looked at that, it's got an auto and manual setting. Push and hold it in manual and the water seems to flow. But wouldn't the pump kick in? That's not happening but I have to admit the motorized valve has been a bit rattly of late.
Thanks for the advice. Will hit with large - very large - hammer soon

no the pump would not kick in cos you cannae push the arm far enough

you have a dead syncron motor me old china

what valve is it?

exactly where should the lever be in normal operation? Auto, Manual or in the middle? When it is pushed across to manual it returns to a central position. And to cap it all, it seems like we've got no hot water now
