So I will 'piggyback' off the existing power supply. Given I have exactly the same setup as in the original posts in this discussion, looking at the previous wiring diagram, do I need to take a feed of the 'F' in the very top right for live and 'N' for neutral? What does 'F' stand for?
The above picture shows the actual wiring which corresponds to the wiring diagram. That brown wire third from the left is the 'F' coming from switch terminal 1 in the wiring diagram. Because it is crimped and not attached via screw terminal, how would you suggest I piggyback on this? Should I re-crimp it with two wires attached?
Hmmm. I'm beginning to think it may be easier to just use a battery-powered wired thermostat. Then I wouldn't have to worry about sorting out a mains supply.
Is it a problem that my boiler is plugged in rather than on its own spur?
