Thanks John. That's about what I thought it would be. Nowhere near that mileage since last change, but been 5 years since it was changed. Will get a full Gates kit installed as last time it was done I only had the belt changed.
Always a bit nervous with this job and always try to seek out the best people possible to do the work. I've tackled countless car/van/motorcycle repairs over the last 40 years, but cam belts are above my pay grade. Bearing in mind the consequences if it isn't done right. Though I recently read that although the 2.0 Jtd/HDi engine is interference, it's only usually the followers that get damaged in the event of any disasters in the cam belt area. Apparently, replacing the followers is all that's needed to repair the engine. Though not necessarily the easiest swap, as on the Scudo/Expert/Dispatch, the top of engine seems partially buried under bulkhead/scuttle. Not always the easiest of vehicles to work on.
