Hi all

When getting my gutters cleaned the tradesman took a picture of a missing part but he couldn't remember the name of it.

Anyone know? And is it important to fix it?

Thanks all

What is the bright orange area we see? It seems to have lead flashing underneath it.

Any idea of the name of the part that is missing that is revealing the orange insulation?

If that's insulation, then yes, it's important to fix, because it will be getting wet and letting water in.

I'm not a roofer, but the grey board that is coming down the side of the roof stops short of the edge, as it does on the other side of the roof, I'm just wondering why. There was probably some sort of waterproof flashing there before. Maybe someone stole your lead flashing??

There's nothing missing! There's lead in the last metre..rubbish finish though.

Had a roofer out and he said nothing wrong with it. Its expanding foam there and under it is lead. As its how its meant to be.

Hmmm.. looks like a botch to me, the roofer wasn't the original guy who did it by any chance.
